The successful Primosensor measuring shackle series SHA, which was previously available with nominal loads of 2.5 to 20 kN for the 3.25 t shackle (Green Pin), has now been extended to include a nominal load of 50 kN for the 8.5 t shackle (Green Pin). The SHA series measuring shackles are a simple and reliable way to measure and monitor loads and forces on hoists and load suspension points. Typical areas of application are rigging in event and stage technology as well as cranes and hoists. However, they are also used for special applications in plant and mechanical engineering. In event and stage technology, the required technology such as loudspeakers and spotlights are mounted on the trusses. Load measuring shackles are often used to prevent the superstructures from being overloaded by the attached technology. They ensure the highest possible protection against overloading the load-bearing parts and superstructures, thus protecting people from injury and materials from damage. Load measuring shackles with a safety factor of 8 allow sling chains to be operated above people. Our measuring shackles are characterized by their ease of use, low space requirement, robustness and safety and are available in various equipment versions. For the electrical connection, they are optionally available with M12x1 or XLR connectors (3 and 5-pin). The output signals available are 4…20 mA 3-wire, 4…20 mA 2-wire with test function, a redundant version with 2 x 4…20 mA (2L/3L) and CANopen. The most important technical data at a glance:
- Nominal loads 2.5 kN, 5 kN, 10 kN, 20 kN for the 3.25 t shackle (Green Pin) and 50 kN for the 8.5 t shackle (Green Pin) (other nominal loads available on request).
- a safety factor of 8 permits the operation of chain slings above people.
- Minimal installation effort and fewer sources of error. This reduces costs and increases safety.
- Including LED on the sensor to check whether the operating voltage is correctly applied, ideal for troubleshooting.
- Plug connection directly on the sensor (M12x1 or XLR 3/5-pin) for easy installation.
- Output signals 4…20 mA 3-wire, 4…20 mA 2-wire with test function, redundant 2 x 4…20 mA (2L/3L) or CANopen
