This kind of sensors can be a low cost solution e.g. for measuring big forces. They measure forces in “mechanical bypass”. This method detects stress conditions in the construction element, which are caused by the applied load. Strain transducers are screwed on the steel construction (machine frames, beams) in the appropriate area in order to measure strain, compression or transverse strain. Press-fit sensors detect stress conditions as well. In contrast they will be pressed in holes, which are specially drilled for this reason. In conjunction with the construction element sensors are calibrated. In order to adjust zero point and span merely an unloaded and a loaded situation (with defined load) has to be realised. Thanks to integrated amplifiers you find 0…10 V or 4…20 mA at the output directly.
Do you need an extensometer or a press-fit sensor adapted to your requirements? No problem! Whether shape or design, material or ports, analog or digital Output signals – our team will develop exactly the product you need for your project for you or together with you. This is because it has decades of experience and a great deal of expertise in the development of force measurement technology and the appropriate tools and machines to produce the prototypes you need
