Minimum effort, maximum effect: This is how our new force transducer for cables works

Steel cables are used in ship lifts and suspension bridges, as well as in cranes, hoists, and architecture. There, they support heavy loads or move them from one place to another—and are thus subjected to massive tensile forces. To prevent excessive stress, it is advisable to measure the lifting and tensile forces regularly. This is the only way to ensure the necessary safety during daily operation.

Measuring Systems

System for measuring electrode forces

Electrode force measurement on welding guns, spot welding and resistance welding systems. Welding robots are mainly used in the production of vehicle bodies. The various body parts are connected with spot welds. Differently designed welding guns place the connection points at the desired locations. Electrode forces, welding current and welding time are controlled in order to achieve a consistent quality of the welds.
