Mobile and stationary force sensors are used to check the set electrode forces. Primosensor manufactures measuring systems for this purpose. The stationary sensors are mounted in the movement area of robots. They approach the force sensor with the welding electrodes according to a set rhythm in order to compare the applied closing force with the specified target value and readjust accordingly. Mobile force sensors are intended for set-up operation, service cases and control measurements. An associated manual display unit directly shows the current force value of the welding gun.

These measuring systems (test cases) can be used very flexibly thanks to battery operation. A rechargeable Li-ion battery allows for several hours of use. The mobile force sensors ared equipped with a handle that effectively decouples the torques that occur when closing the clamp from the hand. The display unit is located in a robust housing equipped with a shock protection seal. It recognizes the load range of the force sensor and automatically sets the corresponding measuring range. Force curves can be transferred to a smartphone or tablet PC via a Bluetooth interface and visualized using the Primoscope APP. The collected data can be output as a csv file for further processing.

Mobile and stationary force sensors are available in two sizes for load ranges of 10 kN and 20 kN. The concave force application surfaces enable reproducible measurements with all standard electrode caps. The devices can be used as calibrated test equipment in accordance with ISO 9001.
